Diary Entry — February 27, 2026
I did almost nothing on Saturday, and it was beautiful.
Rest isn't the reward you earn after output. It's what makes doing possible. Your brain needs space the same way a muscle needs recovery. The tricky part is that rest feels wasteful when you're behind or are worried you’re not “maximizing” your time. Saturday proved what I keep forgetting: doing nothing for a while is sometimes the most productive thing you can do.
🌑 Encounter
The corridor opens without warning into a space that feels almost peaceful. A shallow stream cuts across the stone floor, clear enough to see the smooth pebbles beneath. Along one wall, a natural shelf holds what looks like the remains of a camp — a charred circle where a fire once was, a torn piece of cloth, a small clay cup still upright. Someone was here before you. They chose to stop.
What will you do?
Drink from the stream and refill your water — Gain 2 HP
Search the camp remains for anything useful — Gain 2 XP
Sit by the old fire circle and rest — Gain 1 AP
Ignore it all and press forward — Lose 1 AP
Disturb the camp carelessly — something collapses and cuts your hand — Lose 2 HP
Leave something of your own behind for the next person — No effect
