Is anyone out there?
Creating can be tough in a digital environment. You stare at a screen, putting time and effort into a project. Then, you finally hit send/submit/post, and all you can do is wait. This always triggers immediate doubt, without exception.
Why do I bring this up? Because it’s on my mind as I write the 40th issue of Daily D6, a project that began last February. I received a lot of feedback at first after sharing it on TikTok and getting around 15k views.
It’s taken me a while to get comfortable with not seeing an instant response after hitting send. If I were creating this just as a ✨product✨, doubt may have taken over, and I might have stopped. I remind myself that it’s okay to have a small project I can shape into whatever I want. It’s my little treasure.

🌑 Encounter — The Low Lantern Passage
The tunnel opens into a long corridor lit by hanging lanterns that burn low and uneven. Some flicker, some are dark, and others glow steadily. A faint draft causes the flames to sway, casting shifting shadows along the stone walls.
What will you do?
Walk beneath the brightest lanterns — Gain 2 XP
Relight a flickering lantern — Gain 1 AP
Extinguish a lantern to move unseen — Lose 1 XP
Study the shadows for hidden movement — Gain 1 XP
Rush through before the lights change — Lose 1 AP
Sit and rest beneath a steady flame — No effect
