Getting out there
I’m at Unpub in Baltimore this weekend play testing my game Rescue, a card game where players manage their own dog rescue. The weekend is focused on game developers who are seeking feedback on their designs from designers, players, and publishers. Lots and lots of socializing, which has been wonderful, but also requires a lot of energy. Thankfully I still managed to find time to create a new mode for the weekly Adventure Map.

Instead of starting in the middle of the map, players begin their quest on the “Start” space in the upper left corner. The objective is to reach the “Exit” by the end of their week. Strategize how you’ll place your paths to maximize earning XP.

Weekly Encounter
Dark clouds gather as the wind howls, thunder rumbling overhead. You pull your cloak tight, searching for shelter when a faint, desperate voice cuts through the storm.
Do you investigate or hurry on before the rain traps you?
