It’s almost time for a change
We’ve been noodling on some ideas for refreshing Daily D6 and would love to share some early thoughts/ideas.
To keep the puzzle and game parts of Daily D6 fresh and fun, we’re testing some major updates. These changes will replace the current polyomino placement on the adventure map. We won’t remove any of the 30+ issues created so far, so you can continue to re-download older versions whenever you want!
Additionally, as we approach the larger update rollout, it’s a great opportunity to give the publication or download a visual or thematic overhaul. The original idea for Daily D6 was inspired by classic high fantasy tales, but like tabletop RPGs, adventures can take place in many different settings!
🪨 Encounter: The Echoing Caverns
You find yourself deep within the Echoing Caverns, where the walls glitter faintly with mineral veins and ancient runes carved by long-forgotten hands. A cool draft carries the distant sound of dripping water and the occasional rumble from the mountain’s heart. Your lantern flickers, and shadows stretch across the stone walls.
Follow the glowing light — Gain 2 XP
Stop to map your surroundings — Gain 1 AP
Attempt to mine a precious crystal vein — Gain 3 XP
Disturb a resting bat swarm — Lose 2 HP
Take a break to listen to the echoes — Gain 1 XP
Trigger a small rockslide while exploring — Lose 1 AP
